No, not the thing where people mutilate their ears/nose/whatever, the thing that tells you what’s going on in your car.
Picked up a trio of Autometer gauges today (volts, oil pressure, water temp) and a plate to hold them for the Chevelle. After going back and forth a million times between electric and mechanical, I went with the easier installation of electric over the overall better-ness of mechanical.

I mocked up the panel, should be pretty cool. I also got a tach that mounts in the dash where the clock would be if this car had one (the circle outline visible) a while ago. Now I just need to get some wire and pull the dash apart (again).
I’m also deciding how I’m going to mount that panel. My dash is in way too nice of a condition to want to screw into it, I may try some sort of tape (VHB comes to mind) or some sort of rig to clamp it to the edge. We’ll see.

I bought a A/F Ratio gauge....It’s wired up and working, but I have to find a nice spot for it. Right now, its ziptied to one of the air vents. I tried to run the cable under the dash and pull it back up again, but I found out this weekend that in the Teg, the side of the dash cannot be removed without removing the whole dash, unlike with the Civic. Dangit...

I have the same exact gauge panel in my 73 LeSabre. That’s really the best location for it.

Agreed! The interior is mint except 3 things: The steering wheel is cracked as they all are by this point, there’s a small hole in the headliner (that wasn’t there before it sat in storage for 4 years... thanks mice), and the front bench has torn at the seam (which sucks because I can’t find anywhere making the correct bench seat cover with cloth inserts).

That’s not bad at all. Maybe a trim shop car resew the seam?

Unfortunately it didn’t split the stitching, the vinyl tore at the seam (since the stitching perforated it). There are a couple broken springs and other wear in the seat frame/foam (mainly driver’s side) that need addressed as well.
At some point I’ll hopefully come up with a plan for it. I can fix springs and replace foam, but the covers are the sticking point. I can get them without the optional cloth inserts, but then it wouldn’t match the back, and I quite like the cloth. My inserts are a bit too worn (and one is starting to tear a little) to have a shop re-use and put into new vinyl.
